An editing error in the article, “From North Africa to Asia: Making the Deserts Inhabitable,” (EIR, April 17, 2015, p. 39) mis-stated that “the Vatican has been involved” in the Transaqua Plan for Africa. The plan originated with the engineering firm, Bonifica Spa-IRI-ITALSTAT of Italy, and its former director, Marcello Vichi. The project’s first documents were circulated 1982-85.
