Our Most Urgent Task Is
To Prevent Thermonuclear War!

On July 8–9 the Schiller Institute convened an international conference in Strasbourg, France, titled “On the Verge of a New World War: European Nations Must Cooperate with the Global South!” With over 200 participants from 15 different countries, the purpose of the conference was to facilitate deliberations on the creation of a new security and development architecture; a New Paradigm of peace through economic development for all nations and all peoples of the world. Of universal recognition by participants in the conference, regardless of political ideology, was that the greatest obstacle to achieving this goal is the imminent threat of thermonuclear extinction of the Human Race.
With the evil, decrepit trans-Atlantic financial system collapsing under the weight of 2,000 trillion dollars of unpayable debt, the demonic oligarchs behind that system, desperate to maintain hegemony—their so-called “rules-based international order”—are using Global NATO to target Russia and China, the two most powerful nations of the “Global Majority,” to prevent the rise of a New Paradigm. NATO’s Ukraine proxy war against Russia represents the most immediate, but by no means the only trigger for what could become thermonuclear Armageddon.
Given that as backdrop, participants of the Strasbourg conference, at the end of the proceedings, endorsed a resolution warning against the danger of thermonuclear war, demanding immediate negotiations to end the war in Ukraine, and calling for worldwide peace demonstrations on August 6, the 78th anniversary of the U.S. atomic bombing of Hiroshima, Japan—along with the subsequent atomic bombing of Nagasaki two of the most heinous crimes ever committed. That resolution follows.
