Louisiana Democrats' Committee Endorsed Kucinich `Effort To Impeach' Cheney

April 30, 2007 (EIRNS)—The following press release was issued today by the Lyndon LaRouche Political Action Committee.

The Democratic State Central Committee of Louisiana, at its meeting in Baton Rouge, April 28, endorsed the following Resolution:

"WHEREAS the United States was taken into war based on lies;

"WHEREAS this country was taken into war based on lies about weapons of mass destruction, and Al Qaeda's role with respect to Iraq, which there wasn't one at the time we went in;

"THEREFORE WE, State Central Democratic Committee, endorse Congressman Kucinich's effort to impeach Vice President Dick Cheney."

There are some 400 members of the Democratic State Central Committee, of whom over 100 were present in person on April 28, and others participated by proxy.

The Resolution was introduced by Fred Huenefeld, of Monroe, who is a 20-year member of the Committee. He said that the Resolution was passed at 2:00 p.m. Central Daylight Time at the Old State Capitol Building in Baton Rouge, in the old House of Representatives room, where Gov. Huey Long was "looking down at us" from his portrait hanging in the chamber.
