`Mussolini' Bloomberg Speaks at National Clean Energy Summit, To Promote Green Fascism

Aug. 18, 2008 (EIRNS)—The National Clean Energy Summit in Las Vegas, taking place today and tomorrow under the sponsorship of Sen. Harry Reid, is being conducted as a grandstand for crazy profiteering energy schemes—wind, solar, geothermal, biomass, and a wee bit of nuclear—intended to subvert both the U.S. economy and political process alike. The occasion is made worse by the fact that it is billed as cross-party.

The attention-commanding Republican is T. Boone "Blowhard" Pickens, whose Pickens Plan calls for a radical shift to wind power, with public-private swindles from turbines to transmission lines.

Former President Bill Clinton will give the featured address this evening. Summit host Harry Reid (D), Senate Majority Leader, announced that he had Al Gore review his own speech. Reid stesses that his home state is perfect for wind and solar energy.

To cap it off tomorrow, the concluding presentation is by New York Mayor Michael "Mussolini" Bloomberg. This is very fitting, given that Bloomberg is part of the "Rebuild America" front operation, with California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, to promote bipartisan fascist economics in the name of "building infrastructure."
