China's Global Times Carries
LaRouche Warnings of October Blowout
Aug. 20, 2009 (EIRNS)—The Chinese-language Global Times, in an article published Aug. 8, has given accurate coverage to LaRouche's warnings of the disintegration of the U.S. economy by October, and to his four-nation alternative.
Portions of this article have also started to circulate on Chinese-language websites.
Associated with the government-controlled People's Daily, the Global Times entitled its article "U.S. scholar boldly predicts U.S. bankruptcy." and reports that LaRouche has run for President eight times without success, but that his record as an economist has been outstanding. It also notes that LaRouche exerts a great deal of influence in a variety of ways, around the publication EIR, and through "the LaRouche movement." His prognoses always astound, the author says, and the mainstream generally ignores LaRouche, but in the end LaRouche proves to be correct.
Equally shocking, Global Times notes, are LaRouche's comments at the present time, where he warns of a disintegration of the U.S. economy, at the latest between October 2 and October 10th or 12th, because of the figures that will then be made public, which will show the real extent of the collapse of the U.S. economy.
Is LaRouche a pessimist, the author inquires? By no means, LaRouche responds. The U.S. economy has a lot of potential. The problem is the wrong-headed policy of the Obama Administration. Obama is not living in the real world, LaRouche says. But by October, the U.S. will no longer be able to carry on that policy. He then quotes LaRouche as to how the four countries—the U.S., China, India and Russia—could launch amongst themselves a credit system that would point the world in the opposite direction. We replace the present system through bankruptcy, and replace it with a new credit system. "We have got to make this type of reform," LaRouche says.
