LaRouche PAC Video Explores
Large-Scale Development for Africa
Sept 18, 2010 (EIRNS)—Once Obama is removed from office and the NAWAPA (North American Water and Power Alliance) great project is launched by cooperation of the three nations of North America, the path lies open before us for the great projects for development of Africa which have long been on the drawing boards. This is the subject of a 21-minute video released today on www.larouchepac.com, entitled "NAWAPA: The Possibilities of Africa." The overarching concept for all this is "the Vernadskyan Age of Man," in which man takes the responsibilities given him in Genesis 1, to the point of consciously managing the biosphere of the entire planet, and implicitly beyond.
"Africa is a big fixer-upper, but it can be done." The video goes through the great projects for Africa, from Sudan's Janglei Canal, to Franklin Roosevelt's project for the great salt flats of Southern Tunisia, the Nubian Aquifer, Libya's water projects, and finally the great Transaqua Project to refill Lake Chad by diverting part of the flow of the Congo, creating vast cultivable lands. It ends by considering the future prospects for regreening the Sahara.
These projects were all either prevented or aborted by British imperialism's control over Africa. But if Obama is removed and Franklin Roosevelt's original Glass-Steagall law re-enacted, the British empire will be bankrupted that very day.
