Prince Charles Takes Direct Aim at Putin

May 21, 2014 (EIRNS)—In a clear example of the British Monarchy coming out in its own name in pushing for war, Prince Charles in Canada on May 20 made a very scripted “off the cuff” remark, after a guided tour of a museum by a Holocaust survivor, where Charles said that “Putin is doing just about the same as Hitler.” This remark got wide media coverage internationally, since the Royals are never supposed to say anything substantive about political issues, just control things from behind the scenes. Significantly, British Deputy PM Nick Clegg pretty much endorsed the comment, saying that Charles was “free to express himself.” Putin spokesman Dmitri Peskov said the Kremlin was “not commenting right now.”
