Nuland Bitches, and Ukraine’s Fascists Turn on Russia
Nov. 23, 2015 (EIRNS)—President Obama’s Nazi Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland joined Deputy Secretary General of NATO Alexander Vershbow on Nov. 17 in delivering a virulently anti-Russian speech at the Behörden Spiegel Berlin Security Conference. Nuland, infamous for installing Arseniy "Yats" Yatsenyuk as Prime Minister of Ukraine, there demanded that the sanctions against Russia stay in place until the Minsk ceasefire agreement is fully implemented and Crimea is returned to Ukraine.
Three days later, fascist saboteurs blew up two high-voltage lines carrying electric power to Crimea from Ukraine. That was a Friday night, Nov. 20; they blew up two more Sunday morning, Nov. 22, without interference from the Ukrainian government. With "demonstrators" preventing repairs, Crimea and its 2 million people have been left without any power except that provided by local electrical generators, about 30% of the total, according to Russian authorities. The Nazi Right Sector, joined by Tatar "exiles" have begun blocking trucks trading into Crimea, trying to cut off food and water.
The government responded by Ukrainian President Poroshenko calling a cabinet meeting this Monday which concluded with the imposition of a "temporary" suspension of all movement of goods between Ukraine and Crimea. Nuland’s "Yats" there called on the government to "immediately establish a working group" to halt "deliveries of goods and all trade" with Crimea.
The measures are murderous, given that Crimea as yet depends on Ukraine for its water and electricity. Russian is building an underwater electrical connection to Crimea which is expected to be operational by year-end.
