Ashton Carter Lashes Out at China, Moves the World Closer to Nuclear Confrontation
May 29, 2016 (EIRNS)—In his commencement address to the graduating class of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis on May 27, U.S. Defense Secretary Ashton Carter escalated his attacks on Russia and China, but especially China, commensurate with the British directives to provoke a thermonuclear World War III.
Carter told the new officers that,
"you will counter the prospect of Russian aggression and coercion, especially in Europe. You will manage historic change in the Asia-Pacific where China is rising, which is fine, but behaving aggressively, which is not. You will strengthen our deterrent and defense forces in the face of North Korea’s continued nuclear pursuits and provocations. You will check Iranian aggression and malign influence in the Gulf, and protect our friends and allies there."
Remarkably, after his fight against these phantom monsters, Carter cites perfunctorily and last a fight against ISIS.
Carter directed his greatest vitriol at the People’s Republic:
"China has taken some expansive and unprecedented actions in the South China Sea, pressing excessive maritime claims contrary to international law. Its construction and subsequent militarization of artificial islands on disputed features far surpass all other land reclamation efforts by other nations there, all other combined. And when other aircraft, ships, and even fishermen act in accordance with international law near these features, China tries some times to turn them away.... We are determined to stand with partners in upholding core principles, like freedom of navigation and overflight, free flow of commerce,"
etc.
"Our Freedom of Navigation operations there, by the U.S.S. Lassen and other vessels, are not statements about sovereignty or preferences for any country’s claims...."
The U.S.S. Lassen is a guided missile destroyer, which in October 2015, began the provocative policy of sailing U.S. Naval vessels within 12 nautical miles of Chinese islands in the South China Sea.
Carter, revealed the "Ibykus Principle," disclosing what the British-directed Obama administration is really concerned about, attacking One Belt, One Road, proclaiming:
"instead of working toward what quote, is called the ‘win-win cooperation’ that Beijing publicly says it wants, China sometimes plays by its own rules ... undercutting those principles."
