FROM EIR DAILY ALERTTulsi Gabbard Fires Back at NBC and Russiagate Scam Operation, ‘New Knowledge’Feb. 4, 2019 (EIRNS)—Tulsi Gabbard was attacked by NBC at the same time she was announcing her candidacy for President. NBC accused her of being the beneficiary of a major Russian social media barrage of support. The NBC posting purported to show that (as one tweet put it): “Three of the top 15 URL’s shared over the past 24 hours by 800 Russian-linked disinformation accounts tracked by Disinfo2018 are about Tulsi Gabbard, the pro-Putin, pro-Assad congresswoman who just announced she’s running for POTUS in 2020.” But “Disinfo2018” is one of the operations set up by the already-exposed scam artist “New Knowledge,” which a whistleblower caught meddling in the Alabama Senate election last November by setting up fake Russian tweets and Facebook entries to undermine Democrat Doug Jones and promote his rival, Republican Roy Moore, whom Trump was supporting, thereby “exposing” Moore as a Russian dupe, just like the President. Even the New York Times had to acknowledge the scam. Gabbard wrote in two tweets: “@ggreenwald [Glenn Greenwald, founder of The Intercept website] exposes that @NBC used journalistic fraud to discredit our campaign. But more important is their motive: ‘to smear any adversary of the establishment wing of the Democratic Party—whether on the left or the right—as a stooge or asset of the Kremlin,’ ” and “As commander-in-chief, I will work to end the new cold war, nuclear arms race and slide into nuclear war. That is why the neocon/neolib warmongers will do anything to stop me.” WikiLeaks also responded to NBC News: “Except they’re not ‘experts’ NBC—they’re admitted forgers. You’re a rabble NBC. A complete rabble. Go back to school.” Of course, this was the phrase used by President Trump in his attack on the intelligence community last week. The New York Times reported last year that the internal document leaked by the whistleblower from New Knowledge said: “We orchestrated an elaborate false flag operation that planted the idea that the Moore campaign was amplified on social media by a Russian botnet.” New Knowledge was, and still is, one of the major sources for the pervasive fraudulent campaign claiming Russian meddling in the 2016 election, and just about every other election under the Sun. New Knowledge CEO Jonathon Morgan was once a special advisor to the Obama White House and State Department and a contractor for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). As EIR has reported before, Morgan was a favored media source for the Obama/Clinton trope that Hillary Clinton’s loss was the product of Russian disinformation. |
