House Intelligence Chair Adam Schiff Should Resign from Congress, Tweets President

March 28, 2019 (EIRNS)—President Donald Trump tweeted today, “Congressman Adam Schiff, who spent two years knowingly and unlawfully lying and leaking, should be forced to resign from Congress!”

When Schiff, the California Democrat, convened his House Intelligence Committee today, all nine Republican members presented him with a letter demanding his resignation as Chairman. After detailing Schiff’s two years as a committee member of public peddling of Russia-collusion misinformation from supposedly secret intelligence sources, the letter stated that the Intelligence Committee is the only committee which has the duty for oversight over the intelligence community. Thus,

“your actions both past and present are incompatible with your duty as Chairman of this Committee. We have no faith in your ability to discharge your duties in a manner consistent with your Constitutional responsibility and urge your immediate resignation as Chairman of this Committee.”

Damningly, Schiff responded by continuing to peddle disinformation on “collusion with Russia,” saying the evidence was “in plain sight.”
