Senate Judiciary Hearings on Horowitz Report Findings on Justice Department Abuse on Dec. 11

Nov. 19, 2019 (EIRNS)—The Senate Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing on Dec. 11 to examine the findings from DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz, who indicated his report should be released this month. Horowitz has invited FBI and Justice Department witnesses interviewed as part of the investigation to review the report for accuracy, according to the Daily Caller.

Former CIA official Larry Johnson, who appeared with Barbara Boyd in the Oct. 31 LaRouchePAC “Fireside Chat” conference call webcast, posted a report on Pat Lang’s “Sic Semper Tyrannis” blog today under the title: “Will IG Horowitz Drop the Hammer on the FBI for FISA Abuse?” He writes that former FBI director Jim Comey and his deputy director Andrew McCabe will certainly be accused of criminal conduct, and that the principal targets whom Horowitz is allowing to review the report, “had to do so after signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement and were not permitted to submit written responses.”

Johnson quoted long excerpts from Attorney General William Barr’s speech to the Federalist Society on Nov. 15 (available in full on the Justice Department website), stating that Barr “understands that there has been an attempted coup against the Presidency of Donald Trump.” He also affirms that Bill Barr’s speech is a

“reminder that we still have men and women of integrity and wisdom battling in the public sphere to uphold the essence of our Republic. Barr’s speech laid down a very clear marker of how he sees this battle for the soul of America. He is a man grounded in the law and committed to upholding it. He understands that justice must be blind and applied without bias if the fabric of this country is to remain intact.”
