Trump: Orchestrators of Russiagate, Flynn Prosecution Guilty of ‘Treason’; Deranged Schiff Insists That Trump ‘Colluded’

May 8, 2020 (EIRNS)—In remarks to White House reporters yesterday, President Trump didn’t mince words in referring to the three-year-long Russiagate hoax as well as the frameup of Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, whose prosecution the Justice Department has just moved to dismiss.

Those responsible for these frauds should pay “a big price,” the President said, labeling the Obama Administration’s illegal behavior “unprecedented.” The people who did this are not only crooked and dishonest, he argued, “they’re human scum. This should never have happened in this country,” against a duly elected President. Obama’s Justice Department “was a disgrace. And they got caught.... Very dishonest.... But much more than dishonest, it’s treason. It’s treason, so I’m very happy for Gen. Flynn. He was a great warrior, and he still is.”

Trump also slammed the media as complicit in the fraud against him and Gen. Flynn. They are “totally guilty.” He referenced yesterday’s release of transcripts of 57 interviews conducted by the House Intelligence Committee, in its drive to find “evidence” of Trump’s collusion with Russia, pointing out that no one—including former CIA Director John Brennan and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, by their own admission—ever provided evidence of his alleged collusion.

But House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) is having a public hissy fit over the release of the transcripts, shrieking that Trump is guilty of colluding with Russia, no matter what. In a statement issued upon release of the transcripts, Schiff insisted that the lying 2017 intelligence community assessment that Putin had ordered election interference in 2016, “aimed at the U.S. Presidential elections” to get Trump elected and undermine Hillary Clinton’s “electability,” still stands today.

The deranged Schiff insisted that the released transcripts “richly detail evidence of the Trump campaign’s efforts to invite, make use of, and cover up Russia’s help in the 2016 Presidential election.” Then: “like the Ukraine investigation that would follow it, the investigation into the Trump campaign’s efforts to seek and utilize Russian help in 2016 and to obstruct justice, reveal a President who believes that he is above the law.” But, “our investigation into the Trump campaign, and the evidence that we uncovered despite formidable obstruction, affirms that.”
