Know-Nothing Mob Finally Pulls Albert Pike Statue Down

June 20, 2020 (EIRNS)—Approximately 28 years after the date it should have been legally removed, and in apparent total ignorance as to why it should be done, the statue of Confederate General Albert Pike was pulled down and burned last night, June 19, by a mob in Washington, D.C. Across the country, in Portland, Oregon, a similar mob pulled down a statue of George Washington, spray painting it with the moniker of the false American history narrative, “1619.”

In 1992, Democratic Presidential candidate Lyndon LaRouche and his Vice-Presidential candidate, the renowned civil rights activist James Bevel, made the removal of the Pike statue, sitting at Judiciary Square in Washington, a national campaign issue. Albert Pike was chief judicial officer and founder of the Ku Klux Klan. The monument to Pike was funded by the Southern Jurisdiction of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, and was maintained on Federal land by the U.S. Park Service. As historian Tony Chaitkin fully documented during the LaRouche-Bevel campaign, the description of Confederate General Pike on the statue, as an author, poet, and philanthropist, was one of history’s greatest lies. He was a conscious satanist allied with Lord Palmerston’s Giuseppe Mazzini and his “Young Europe” youth movements, whose aim was the destruction of the United States.

Here is a part of what Lyndon LaRouche said about this in 1993 (See “The Statue of Satanist Albert Pike Must Come Down”):

“As the letters of Albert Pike to Giuseppe Mazzini illustrate the point, Pike, like Mazzini, was a satanist; and like Mazzini, was an instrument of a circle in London headed or associated prominently with Lord Palmerston, the author of the opium wars against China, among his other “virtues.” The object of Pike’s endeavor and that of Palmerston and also Mazzini, was to destroy the United States—a continuing commitment, since the War of Independence; this time by means of fomenting a division of the nation between one part of the nation controlled by the Southern Jurisdiction of the Scottish Rite, and other parts of the nation. This was a conspiracy of traitors and they were all in the leadership conscious traitors to the United States; that is, acting as agents of a Britain which used them in an effort called the Civil War or the Secession, to destroy the United States by dismembering it and thus making the entire Western Hemisphere virtually a colony of the British Empire.”

The LaRouche-Bevel campaign stirred a national debate about the true nature of the slaveholding Confederacy as a project of the British Empire, and generated debate among Christian religious denominations as to whether freemasonry was consistent with Christianity. As things got hot, the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith intervened on the side of the Scottish Rite’s defense of the Pike statue. The B’nai B’rith itself was an outgrowth of Scottish Rite freemasonry. J. Edgar Hoover was also a prominent mason in this southern branch, and the ADL, in a major scandal in 1993, was shown to be a longstanding asset of the disgraced FBI chief. Such do-nothing politicians as District of Columbia Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton admitted that LaRouche, Bevel, and Chaitkin were right about Pike’s history, but she refused to support removing the statue, because it would “give a victory to LaRouche.” Only a full 25 years later did Rep. Holmes-Norton introduce a bill to remove it.

The Portland desecration of the nation’s founder, Washington, is more characteristic of the mob assault on history and knowledge now taking place throughout the country. “1619” is a brainwashing project of the New York Times which asserts, falsely, that the U.S. was founded as a slaveholding imperium and has never deviated from that path.
