India’s Modi Wraps Up Ladakh Visit with a Swipe at China
July 3, 2020 (EIRNS)—According to the Hindustan Times, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi “saluted the soldiers of the Indian Army who are deployed in Ladakh,” and told soldiers posted along the Line of Actual Control between India and China, that their courage had sent a message to the world. The newspaper reports Modi saying that “tales about their valor were being spoken in every house across the country.”
“The enemy has seen your fire and fury,” Modi told the soldiers in an address telecast live from Ladakh to the country.
This is the time not for expansion, but for development, Modi said. Without naming China explicitly, Modi complained that the expansionist policies of “some countries” have affected world peace.
