Strzok Still Shamelessly Pumping Out ‘Trump Is a Russian Agent’
Sept. 6, 2020 (EIRNS)—The media barrage has begun, playing up disgraced FBI hack Peter Strzok’s new book, Compromised: Counterintelligence and the Threat of Donald J. Trump, preparatory to its publication tomorrow, as another prop in the attempt to revive silly “Russia, Russia, Russia” British Empire lie against President Donald Trump.
Judging by Politico’s lengthy interview with him, Strzok is still burned that the FBI and Justice Department did not defend him when President Trump rightly accused Strzok of “treason” for his role in the illegal counterintelligence operation aimed at taking down the sitting President, and let the operation be shut down.
Strzok is itching to get back to the investigation which he and the team of 40-odd FBI agents under his direction were carrying out for Robert Mueller’s operation between May and August 2017: “rooting through” all Trump’s financial disclosure forms “to identify areas where Russia might have financial leverage over him, not only now but 30 and 40 years ago.”
He shamelessly stands by the usefulness of the Steele dossier (a document baldly so infantile that a 12-year-old could not have been less convincing, as veteran UPI foreign correspondent Martin Sieff put it in this weekend’s Schiller Institute conference); defends his illegal set-up of National Security Adviser nominee Gen. Michael Flynn; and is still furious that then Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein (he says) ordered Mueller “to narrow his investigation to finding crimes [!] and refrain from looking into the President’s finances.”
Strzok, naturally, feeds the line that Russia will be out to “throw into doubt any number of things” in the run-up, during and after the 2020 U.S. elections.
