Trump in Harrisburg: New FBI Revelations, ‘a Whole Big Con-Job!’
Sept. 27, 2020 (EIRNS)—President Donald Trump spoke last night at the Harrisburg International Airport in Middletown, Pennsylvania, giving a lively speech on many of his familiar campaign themes, but striking a special note about last week’s new information out about the FBI wrongdoing regarding Gen. Michael Flynn and the Trump campaign. Trump cited newly disclosed FBI text messages specifically, reporting how operatives said such things as, “Trump was right....We shouldn’t be doing this....We need insurance.” Trump said it shows that it was “a whole disinformation deal ... that we went through for two and a half years.” He lambasted the time and money it wasted. He said it was a “whole, big con-job.” They said, “We want Flynn, in order to get Trump.”
Trump made the point that “we’ve got to get the Congress back,” so we can go after this. “Look at Shifty Schiff. What a sleazebag. What a jerk,” referring to California’s Adam Schiff, who chairs the House Intelligence Committee.
The President again addressed the urgency for stopping “endless wars.” He said we have to “Keep America out of these endless, ridiculous, stupid foreign wars.” For many years, we have been “fighting foreign wars, defending foreign borders,” in countries we don’t even know where they are.
On China, he expressed lament. He said that China has been doing good for U.S. farmers, buying more corn, soybeans, beef. But all this “doesn’t mean that much for me any more.” At a later point he posed the role of China, when raising a question about fractious politics inside the U.S. He rhetorically asked, “How do we get people to come together?” meaning inside the United States. He answered, “We were getting to come together ... then we got hit with the plague from China” and that ended it.
