Trump Doing ‘Very Well, in Exceptionally Good Spirits’
Oct. 3, 2020 (EIRNS)—Dr. Sean Conley, President Donald Trump’s personal physician, and the team at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center taking care of the President, briefed the press this morning on his condition in very positive terms. President Trump had a mild cough and some fatigue on Thursday night, but as of this morning he is recovering well, has had no fever since Friday morning, is walking about and doing his work, they reported. Trump told the team that “I feel like I could walk out of here right now,” although they will not speculate on when he will leave.
He is on a five-day regimen of the antiviral remdesivir, received an antibody treatment and some other medications, not specified (although the physician’s letter of Oct. 2 included details). He is not on oxygen and has never had any trouble breathing, they report. While walking, he has an oxygen saturation of 96%, well within the safe range. Other than being “slightly overweight” and being 74 years old, he has no other issues of concern regarding COVID-19.
