Joe Biden’s First Public Comment on ‘Laptop from Hell’: No Basis Whatsoever

Oct. 22, 2020 (EIRNS)—At the end of a video interview with WISN, the ABC News affiliate in Milwaukee on Oct. 21 (apparently the only event he has held in the past four days), Joe Biden was asked by reporter Adrienne Pedersen whether there was any legitimacy to Wisconsin’s senior Senator Ron Johnson’s claims about Hunter Biden trading on the Biden name? “None whatsoever!” Joe bellowed.

“This is the same garbage that Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s henchman—it’s the last-ditch effort in this desperate campaign to smear me and my family. Even the man who served on that committee, the former nominee for the Republican Party, said there’s no basis to this. And you know and all—and the vast majority of the intelligence people have come out and said there’s no basis at all. Ron should be ashamed of himself.”

Biden in full denial mode: No basis whatsoever.

While this seems rather pathetic, it is much more refined than when he was caught off-guard at a town hall by a fellow Democrat last December and his full-blown thuggery was on display.

Then a loyal Democratic farmer at an Iowa town hall meeting asked Biden about his selling influence while he was Vice President, via Hunter’s activities in Ukraine. Biden jumped in: “You’re a damn liar, man. That’s not true. No one has ever said that. No one has said my son has done anything wrong, and I did not on any occasion, and nobody has ever said it.” And later, Biden reprimands the 83-year-old farmer, rather ironically: “Get your words straight, Jack.”

Then, after the town hall meeting ended, the farmer told ABC News that he was “in favor of any other Democratic candidate who’s running” and that he wasn’t voting for Biden. An out-of-control Biden butted in: “Of course you’re not. You’re too old to vote for me.” The reporters asked Biden whether he had lost his temper: “I didn’t lose my temper, what I wanted to do was shut this down... what I wanted to make clear to him was: if he gets more out of control, this is not appropriate behavior at all. That was the message.” A lesson from someone who knows how to stay in control.
