Twenty-Four Hours in the Life of the ‘Quid Pro Joe’ Scandal
Oct. 23, 2020 (EIRNS)—The “Quid Pro Joe” Scandal is now a couple of laps past the laptop. On Thursday evening, prior to the debate in Nashville, Tennessee, Tony Bobulinski gave a short press conference. He said that, on May 2, 2017, he was introduced to Joe Biden by Hunter, and that they had an hour-long meeting, making business plans with the Chinese. The front company they created was entitled “Sinohawk”—“Sino” being China, and an homage to Beau Biden, as his favorite animal was the hawk. The meeting was the evening before Joe was to appear at the Milken Institute in Los Angeles. “That night, we discussed the Bidens’ history, the Biden family’s plans with the Chinese, with which he was plainly familiar, at least at a high level.” It was made clear to him that there would be nothing in writing regarding Joe, only face to face. Also involved were Joe’s brother, James Biden, Rob Walker, and Jim Gilliar—the one who originally brought Hunter and Tony together.
The May 13, 2017 email from the Hunter laptop was addressed to Bobulinski, the Sinohawk CEO, and it spelled out a 10% of the equity to be held by “H” for the “Big Guy.” (Sinohawk Holdings LLC was incorporated in the State of Delaware on May 15, 2017. On Bobulinski’s phone is a text from Gilliar, on May 20, 2017: “Don’t mention Joe being involved, it’s only when u are face to face, I know u know that but they are paranoid.”) Afterwards, Hunter told Bobulinski that $5 million was to be wired into entities associated with the Biden family. Tony objected, saying that Sinohawk “could not be Hunter’s personal piggy bank.” He was told that CEFC China Energy (the now bankrupt Chinese company that was putting up the money) was really investing in the Biden family, and that they were risking their family name. Bobulinski found himself on the outs. He found out later that the monies were wired to entities connected to Hunter three months later. Bobulinski concluded by saying that the evidence sits on three cell phones that only he had touched, with messages from 2015-18, which he’s turning over to the FBI.
At the Thursday evening debate, Biden raged: “I have not taken a penny from any foreign source, ever, in my life”—of course, what’s revealed is that Hunter took the money. Biden’s communications director, Kate Bedingfield, had earlier told the Wall Street Journal: “If we see tonight from Donald Trump these attacks on Vice President Biden’s family, I think we need to be very, very clear that what he’s doing here is amplifying Russian misinformation.” When Biden attempted that ruse, Trump nailed him: “The laptop is another Russia, Russia, Russia hoax?” Biden seemed to agree: “That’s exactly...” and then stopped abruptly.
Friday morning, Bobulinski was scheduled to give an “informal interview” for Ron Johnson’s Senate Homeland Security Committee. Johnson and Chuck Grassley (Chairman of Finance) said that they have also requested info from Hunter Biden, James Biden, James Gilliar and Rob Walker, but only Bobulinski so far has cooperated. A letter was sent to Hunter’s three lawyers on Oct. 21 requesting that they provide records of all Hunter’s business dealings. However, Bobulinski’s interview with the Senate Committee was postponed Friday morning, as the FBI stepped in to request an interview with him first. Senator Johnson announced:
“I appreciate that the FBI has a job to do, and I am glad they are finally taking an interest in these concerning financial matters that our Committees have been investigating for months. I expect that Mr. Bobulinski will speak with our committee as soon as possible and fully share his insights into the Biden family’s business dealings.”
Again, the “Quid Pro Joe” Scandal is now a couple of laps past the laptop. It would be hilarious if it weren’t so tragic.
