Presidential Election Update, Vote Counting Features Irregularities, Bizarre Happenings

Nov. 4, 2020 (EIRNS)—Leaving aside the crucial issue of vote fraud, and looking only at the “official” count, as of Wednesday evening, Nov. 4, Trump and Biden have (unofficially) 248 electoral votes apiece, with Pennsylvania (20), Michigan (16) and Nevada (6) still to be tabulated. (This assumes that Trump gets Georgia (16) and North Carolina (15), and Biden gets Wisconsin (10) and Arizona (11)—even though all four are close and could change.) The 270 electoral votes level will be reached, most likely, by a candidate winning two of the three states (Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Nevada) in play. There are irregularities all over the place, including the irregular handling of mail-in voting.

Wisconsin: Biden’s 0.6% margin calls for a legal recount, which Trump will do.

Arizona: Assuming about 400-450,000 votes to be tabulated, Trump will have a difficult time overcoming the present 92,000 gap, but it is possible.

Georgia: Trump leads by 38,000 votes with, as of 7:30 p.m., 149,350 votes to count. Biden would have to snag around 94,000 of those votes to pass Trump.

North Carolina: Trump’s lead of 77,000, unchanged all day, should have put 15 electoral votes in his column a long time ago, but AP and VOX have been suppressing that count all day.

Nevada: Biden is up 7,600 votes with 75% counted. That suggests about 40,000 more votes to tabulate, with Trump needing almost 24,000 of them to win. Wednesday morning, Nov. 4, the vote count was stopped, not to restart until Thursday morning. Trump is winning in every county but two. Without Clark County (Reno), Biden would be almost 60,000 votes behind. The county sent out mail-in ballots to every voter in the county. For two weeks, judges have refused Republican legal challenges to force Clark County to allow election monitors to witness the counting of the mail-in voting, which began 15 days before the election. Evidently, the specious reasoning is that, until they can prove votes are being counted incorrectly, they cannot have a day in court to get the observers.

Pennsylvania: A long, slow count of mail-ins proceeds taking Trump’s 13% margin down to 3% and counting. As of 7:00 p.m., Trump led by 250,000 votes. Around 800,000 more mail-ins are yet to be tabulated. Biden needs 525,000 of them to pull even. Expect a massive legal fight here.

Michigan: Bizarre happenings in Michigan as soon as it became clear late Tuesday night that Biden was in trouble. In general, the public reporting has been vastly ahead of the official returns all day Wednesday, with vastly more votes for Biden. Between 5:18 a.m. and 6:18 a.m. on Wednesday, Biden’s vote soared by over twice as much as Trump’s, putting Biden suddenly in the lead. (This is separate from the curious mistake, supposedly from Shiawassee County, which added 127,000 or so votes to Biden and then was corrected—though Biden still gained over 131,000 more votes than Trump that same hour.) Between 1:30 and 2:00 p.m., the official count surged ahead, as the AP and VOX numbers dropped by 110,000. As of 8 p.m. Wednesday, Trump leads officially by over 220,000 votes—around 5.35%—even though the media have officially ruled Biden the winner by 2.2%. Reports are that some of the Republicans have been prevented from witnessing at the election central in Cobo Hall, Detroit. Things are not moving in a straight-ahead fashion in Michigan. However, Michigan may take the lead over Pennsylvania in legal suits.
