‘Big Twitter’ Blocks South Dakota Republican Party, Which Supports Trump’s Election Battle

Nov. 13, 2020 (EIRNS)—The South Dakota Republican Party carries a press release on their website backing President Donald Trump in his legal battles against election fraud. But, when the party tried to tweet the link, it failed. Party Chair Dan Lederman stated, “Twitter gave us a warning sign saying it was harmful content and that we had to go to a help center and they basically blocked our ability to tweet a link from our website and that is where I noticed they were ‘blocking’ the South Dakota Republican Party.”

Moreover, if a user tried to access the party’s website via a link at the top of its Twitter page in its bio, they then got a warning page from Twitter. It saying the user is trying to access a link that may be “unsafe,” or have “violent or misleading content that could lead to real-world harm.” In short, “Big Twitter is watching you.”
