West Virginia Governor Justice States, I Do Not Acknowledge a Biden Vote Victory
Nov. 13, 2020 (EIRNS)—West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice (R) on Nov. 11 said that he did not acknowledge Joe Biden as the election victor, because the vote has not been settled. “As far as acknowledging that the election is over, I do not do that,” he said at his regularly scheduled press briefing on the state’s COVID-19 situation. He underscored his commitment to an honest election by saying, “If Joe Biden is truly our legally elected President of the United States, we should all celebrate and support him.”
Trump was elected in West Virginia with 69% of the state vote. Justice was re-elected with 65% of the vote; and the state legislature got another dozen new Republican lawmakers in office.
