Trump Sacks DHS Cybersecurity Head Krebs, Who Colluded with Big Tech To Claim ‘No Fraud’

Nov. 18, 2020 (EIRNS)—Yesterday, President Donald Trump fired, “effectively immediately,” Christopher Krebs, director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), which operates under the aegis of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). It turns out that Krebs, a former security chief for Microsoft who had been appointed by Trump, was in league with the big tech companies, including Smartmatic and Dominion Voting Systems, in asserting that the 2020 elections were “the most secure in American history,” and that “there is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes or was in any way compromised.”

A joint statement asserting the above was issued on Nov. 12 by the Elections Infrastructure Government Coordinating Council (GCC), which includes CISA, and the Election Infrastructure Sector Coordinating Executive Committees (SCC). As of January of this year, executives from Smartmatic and Dominion Voting Systems sat on the board of the SCC Executive Committee. Note too that Wall Street’s private equity firms are some of the biggest investors in the voting machine “industry.” So, it’s no surprise that, as reported by the Washington Examiner beginning on Nov. 3, CISA launched a “Rumor Control” page denouncing “disinformation” about election results, including any messaging coming from the White House. Krebs had also tweeted several messages urging the public not to share “baseless claims about voting machines, even if they’re made by the President.” The Examiner quotes one anonymous source who said that CISA completely ignored the Trump campaign’s court filings on voting irregularities. Another source identified Krebs as part of the “Never Trump” crowd, involved in the coup against the President for the better part of his Presidency.

Krebs’s firing has provoked howls of rage from Nancy Pelosi, who described Krebs as a “deeply respected cybersecurity expert who worked diligently to safeguard our elections and dispel dangerous misinformation.” Instead of rewarding this “patriotic” behavior, Pelosi screeched, the President has fired Krebs for “speaking truth to power and rejecting Trump’s constant campaign of election falsehoods.”
