Trump Calls for Individuals with Courage To Act on Election

Dec. 8, 2020 (EIRNS)—During his remarks Tuesday at the Operation Warp Speed Vaccine Summit, President Donald Trump responded to a question about involving the Biden team in the discussion: “Well, we’re going to have to see who the next administration is.... Now, let’s see whether or not somebody has the courage—whether it’s a legislator or legislatures, or whether it’s a justice of the Supreme Court or a number of justices of the Supreme Court. Let’s see if they have the courage to do what everybody in this country knows is right.”

In his Monday, Dec. 7 statement on Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, Trump had spoken of courage:

“The profound bravery in the American resistance surprised Japanese aircrews and inspired selfless sacrifice among our service members. In one instance, Machinist’s Mate First Class Robert R. Scott, among 15 Sailors awarded the Medal of Honor for acts of valor on that day, refused to leave his flooding battle station within the depths of the USS California, declaring to the world: ‘This is my station and I will stay and give them air as long as the guns are going.’ ”

Trump’s call for courage was partly met on Tuesday: Texas filed an original jurisdiction case before the Supreme Court against Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania. But it also saw the Supreme Court’s decision to deny Congressman Mike Kelly’s case against Pennsylvania.
