YouTube’s Allies in Censorship: Google, Big Tech and Wall Street

Dec. 11, 2020 (EIRNS)—Exactly with whom is YouTube in cahoots, in announcing its fascistic ban on any mention of vote fraud in the Nov. 3 Presidential election? After its Dec. 9 announcement that it would remove any and all postings referring to this subject, as a consolation it offered to provide “information panels linking both to Google’s election results feature, which sources election results from The Associated Press, and to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s (CISA) ‘Rumor Control’ page for debunking election integrity misinformation.”

Nota bene: CISA is the outfit that operates out of the Department of Homeland Security, and was run by former Microsoft executive and Never-Trumper Cristopher Krebs, until the President unceremoniously dumped him on Nov. 17. Krebs colluded with Dominion Voting Systems and Smartmatic in issuing a Nov. 12 statement that the Nov. 3 election was “the most secure in American history,” and that “there is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes or was in any way compromised.”

As EIR Daily Alert documented in its Nov. 19 issue ("Trump Sacks DHS Cybersecurity Head Krebs, Who Colluded with Big Tech To Claim ‘No Fraud’ ”), the Nov. 12 statement was issued by the Elections Infrastructure Government Coordinating Council (GCC), which includes CISA (then run by Krebs) and the Election Infrastructure Sector Coordinating Executive Committees (SCC). As of January of this year, executives from Smartmatic and Dominion Voting Systems, whose “industry” is largely financed by Wall Street private equity and hedge funds, sat on the board of the SCC Executive Committee. One big happy family.

The Washington Examiner reported Nov. 18 that beginning on Nov. 3, CISA launched a “Rumor Control” page—the one YouTube directs people to in its statement—whose purpose is to debunk “disinformation” about election results, including any messaging coming from the White House. Krebs had also tweeted several messages urging the public not to share “baseless claims about voting machines, even if they’re made by the President.” At the time, the Examiner quoted one anonymous source who said that CISA completely ignored the Trump campaign’s court filings on voting irregularities.
