Fiona Hill Warns Biden To Get Tough with Russia, the ‘Insidious Hybrid Threat’
Dec. 16, 2020 (EIRNS)—The New York Times, on Dec. 15, opening with the alleged new Russian hacking story, quotes Fiona Hill as to why Biden has to get tough with Russia: “Obama was very dismissive toward the Russians, calling them a regional power; they didn’t want to think about Russia too much,” she said. “But the world has changed completely. Biden can’t do Obama 2.0. They are going to have to think differently.... Russia has moved from a classical, conventional nuclear power to an insidious hybrid threat.” There is no explanation as to what the “insidious hybrid threat” means or is, but, assumedly it is worse than a conventional nuclear power.
They also cite Biden’s memoir on his account of a private conversation with Putin in 2011, saying with a smile: “Mr. Prime Minister, I’m looking into your eyes. I don’t think you have a soul.” It is possible that Biden was making an insidious hybrid threat.
