Kiev Regime May Be Running Out of Both Arms and Men

Dec. 27, 2022 (EIRNS)—Apty Alaudinov, a top aide to Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, commander of the Akhmat special force (which is Chechen), and deputy commander of the 2nd Army Corps of the People’s Militia of the Lugansk People’s Republic, claimed yesterday that the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) “has run out of not only supplied weapons but also of a lot of weapons of Soviet make that were in Ukraine,” he wrote on his Telegram channel, reported TASS. According to Alaudinov, Russian forces are closing in on the city of Artyomovsk (known as Bakhmut in Ukraine) in the Donetsk People’s Republic. He stressed that Russian forces are trying to avoid casualties among civilians and that is why their progress in this direction has slowed down.

He said that Ukraine’s losses since the beginning of Russia’s special military operation have amounted to around 200,000 troops. “Is there any sense in these casualties for us? I don’t think so. That is why we will be moving forward carefully but steadily,” he said, pointing out that Ukraine will not be able to “counterattack in the coming year.”

There is anecdotal evidence on Telegram suggesting that Ukraine is running out of the manpower needed to effectively operate the weapons with which NATO is flooding Ukraine. According to one post on the Slavyangrad Telegram channel, the average age of Ukrainian troops is approaching 50. “Even the photos of Ukrainian propaganda have begun to show more and more old people,” it says. “Men in their 50s and 60s who are raising grandchildren and who have lost their sons. The situation with mobilization is similar: summonses are handed out to all older men who are being indiscriminately drafted into the Ukrainian Armed Forces.” The imagery published in the Slavyangrad post is reminiscent to the Wehrmacht in the closing months of World War II, which became an army of children and old men.

“This trend is related to the physical destruction of socially active young people, who have been in the combat zone since Feb. 24... Thus, the people of Ukraine are gradually dying out ... for Zelenskyy’s interests and for NATO’s ambitions,” the post concludes.
