Russia Shoots Down Ukrainian Drones, Launches New Missile Barrage vs. Kiev Regime

Dec. 31, 2022, 2022 (EIRNS)—The Russian Defense Ministry reported yesterday shooting down three Tu-141 Strizh jet-propelled UAVs, the same type used in the Ukrainian attacks on Russian airfields, but didn’t say where the shoot-downs occurred.

Today, Russian forces launched another series of large-scale missile strikes on infrastructure targets in Ukraine, ranging from the Donbass battlefront to Western Ukraine. Power outages were reported in the Kiev and Kharkov regions, but otherwise little information is yet available as to the targets.
