Russia To Release Documentation of Western Stonewalling on Nord Stream, Polyanskiy Tells Jackson Hinkle

March 10, 2023, 2022 (EIRNS)—The Russian government will publish its correspondence with Western governments on the issue of investigating the Nord Stream incident, First Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Dmitry Polyanskiy announced in a video interview on “The Dive with Jackson Hinkle” on March 9. “They are denying any access to information, they are denying any participation regardless of the fact that we are an affected party, so we should be part of this investigation, but they are just writing to us some letters saying that we’re doing what we’re doing and mind your own business,” he said, reported TASS.

“To be transparent we will publish this whole correspondence quite soon and distribute it among the members of the Security Council,” Polyanskiy said, remarking that the recent information in Western media on the Nord Stream explosions is an attempt to divert attention away from what really happened. “Regarding the recent information, I wouldn’t dwell into too much detail. I think it is too obvious that this is really likely to be an attempt to divert attention from what has happened,” he said.

The voting on the resolution for an international investigation into acts of sabotage at Nord Stream pipelines will be held at the UN Security Council most probably in late March, though the work on preliminary approval of the text is “not progressing very well,” Polyanskiy acknowledged.

“The expert work is not progressing very well, so we are patient, we have conducted three rounds of expert consultations. But at some point, likely by the end of March, we will put this text to vote. And I would not be surprised if Western countries will try to pretend that this is excessive, we don’t need it, the information is not reliable, and so on and so forth. You know how they apply double standards in the situation when this is not in their favor,”

he explained.

Hinkle, in addition to addressing the “Rage against the War Machine” rally on Feb. 19, addressed a Schiller Institute youth conference in October 2022. His 36-minute interview with Polyanskiy is posted to his YouTube channel and also on Rumble.
