Putin Hits Nord Stream Cover Stories as ‘Complete Nonsense,’ Terror Done by a State Actor
March 14, 2023, 2022 (EIRNS)—Russian President Vladimir Putin dismissed as “nonsense” the recent Western media chatter about “six people on a yacht” blowing up the Nord Stream gas pipelines, and that the unknown suspects might be “pro-Ukrainian activists.” He told reporters, while touring the Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant in eastern Siberia today: “I’m sure this is complete nonsense. An explosion of this kind—of such power, at such depth, can only be carried out by specialists, and supported by the entire power of a state, possessing certain technologies,” reported RT.
Furthermore, TASS quoted him as saying: “It is not a secret anymore for anyone that this was the terrorist act. In my opinion, everybody recognized that already. The terrorist act, absolutely obviously, was committed at the state level because no amateurs are able to commit such actions.”
To a reporter asking about Russia’s own investigation, President Putin responded, “It is very difficult for us to deal with our own investigation if we are not allowed to visit the scene of this terrorist act.”
None of the three countries purporting to investigate the Sept. 26, 2022 explosion, Germany, Denmark and Sweden, will talk to Russia, which among other things sought to overturn the initial lies that Moscow had exploded its own pipelines.
