Lavrov Proves That West’s Effort To Isolate Russia Is a ‘Total Failure’

April 29, 2023, 2022 (EIRNS)—RT reports that Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov addressed the World Online Conference on Multipolarity yesterday, saying that “It makes perfect sense that Washington and its satellites’ efforts to reverse the course of history and make the international community live according to the ‘rules-based order’ they invented are failing,” he said. The transcript of Lavrov’s remarks is posted to the Foreign Ministry website. He said that “countries that constitute the world majority, which are home to about 85% of the global population, do not want to do the dirty job for the former colonial powers.” He opened his remarks by pointing out that “your forum has brought together prominent representatives of political, public and academic circles from several dozen countries from almost every continent. ... Today, the movement towards global multipolarity is a fact, a geopolitical reality.”
