Probability Reported as ‘Lessened’ for Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant Gambit; Danger Remains
July 8, 2023, 2022 (EIRNS)—Renat Karchaa, an adviser to the director general of Russia’s Rosenergoatom nuclear power engineering company, said yesterday that the risks of a provocation at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant by the Kiev regime have declined some. “The probability of this has reduced considerably,” he said in an interview with the Rossiya-24 television channel, reported TASS. “However, it cannot be 100% excluded. We should not relax thinking that this has become a thing of the past.”
Similarly, Ukraine’s military intelligence chief Kyrylo Budanov told Reuters a day earlier that the threat to the plant was reduced, though from the perspective of the Kiev regime. “The threat is decreasing,” he said without explaining what had been done to reduce the threat. He made clear, however, that he believed the threat had only been postponed until later.
