More Ukrainian Drone Attacks Aimed at Moscow and Crimea
Aug. 11, 2023, 2022 (EIRNS)—Earlier today, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that air defense forces foiled an attempted drone attack on an unnamed facility in Moscow. “The UAV was suppressed by electronic warfare means and crashed in a forest area west of Moscow,” the ministry said in a statement. The air traffic was suspended at two international airports.
This morning’s incident followed at least three on Aug. 10 during which two drones moving towards Moscow were destroyed in the Moscow and Kaluga regions, while eleven other drones heading towards Sevastopol, the home port of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, were taken down by air defenses protecting Crimea, including nine by use of electronic warfare.
