Biden Impeachment Hearings Investigate Bribery, Influence-Peddling, Corruption
Oct. 1, 2023, (EIRNS)—The House Oversight Committee this past week began an inquiry into the numerous reports of corruption among the Biden family, including involving President Biden directly. The Sept. 28 seven-hour hearing took up repeated cases of the Biden family receiving money by various means, including shell companies, in conjunction with policy decisions favorable to those making the payments. If the claims are true—and there is already extremely strong evidence for some or many—then this is a simple and direct case of selling political influence for monetary gain: bribery. George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley told the Committee that Congress has a “duty to determine if the President is involved in what is a known form of corruption.”
The amounts discussed in the hearing reach into the tens of millions of dollars.
Reporter Simon Ateba has posted a several minute video clip of Rep. William Timmons (R-SC) giving an overview of the investigation.
The Committee is moving forward with subpoenas for personal financial records of Hunter Biden and James Biden, the President’s brother.
Meanwhile, the Democratic members of the Committee essentially chose simply not to engage seriously with the damning material presented. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) asked witnesses whether they were “presenting any firsthand witness account of crimes committed by the President of the United States,” as though that would be the only reasonable evidence to consider. Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) claimed, in an emotional display, that the evidence presented shows only that Joe Biden is “guilty of loving his child unconditionally.”
After benefitting from years of influence over both legacy media and social media, the Democratic Party may feel that it can simply censor or ignore the scandal out of existence, but the evidence appears to be plentiful and compelling.
