PRESS RELEASE
LaRouche: Democratic Presidential Candidates Debate Was a Farce
July 24, 2007 (EIRNS)—This release was issued today by the Lyndon LaRouche Political Action Committee.
Commenting on last night's uTube CNN-run Democratic Presidential candidates' debate, Lyndon LaRouche said that anyone who watched the debate would have thought that the questions were made up by Karl Rove. LaRouche said that the campaigns have already been bad enough, but this debate was a farce and a fraud in that it was a diversion from the policy debate required. LaRouche said that it was not an honest debate, but rather an attempt to influence the voters by a fallacy of composition. As such, the debate was an awful, abominable piece of crap, which he said he hopes will not be repeated. What we need is a real Presidential debate, not a diversion from the real issues. CNN was trying to degrade the candidates to the level of Bush signing statements on the issues. LaRouche said that despite the unserious nature of the questions, some of the candidates handled the situation well. He thought that Hillary Clinton handled herself the best in trying to bring the debate to the level of actual Presidential policy debate.
