LaRouche: Forge a U.S.-Russia-China Agreement for Global Recovery
Sept. 15, 2011 (EIRNS)—Speaking on the LaRouche PAC Weekly Report Sept. 14, Lyndon LaRouche presented the immediate need for a U.S.-Russia-China treaty re-establishing a fixed-exchange-rate system, as a prerequisite for a global economic recovery. This will be a "preliminary step," LaRouche said, but is required for preventing the world's collapse into "the deepest depression you ever saw."
To get such an agreement, LaRouche emphasized, of course President Obama must be removed from office, either for mental incompetence, or his impeachable offenses. Once he's no longer an impediment, the essential reinstatement of Glass-Steagall can go ahead.
At that point, which must be very soon, the U.S. should enter into a treaty agreement with Russia, and then extend it to China. The nature of that agreement would be like that envisioned by President Franklin D. Roosevelt for the post-war period, a "fixed-exchange-rate credit-system" which would be a first step toward a larger global agreement among nations for mass-scale economic development, based on huge transportation and water projects epitomized by the North American Water and Power Alliance (NAWAPA) and the Eurasian Land-Bridge, also known in China as the New Silk Road.
LaRouche, his wife Helga Zepp-LaRouche, and his publications have been major promoters of such an international agreement for more than 20 years, and have developed many concrete plans for how great projects involving collaboration between the nations can transform all nations, and put them on the road to progress. In the course of the LaRouche PAC-TV report, Basement leader Sky Shields elaborated on aspects of Russia's readiness and potential for such an agreement.
