PRESS RELEASE

LaRouche Calls for Hi-Tech War on Drugs,
Centered on Economic Development

Jan. 15, 2009 (EIRNS)—This release was issued today by the Lyndon LaRouche Political Action Committee (LPAC).

Dope, Inc., the City of London-centered international drug enterprise, has launched endgame in such locations as the U.S.-Mexico border, U.S. statesman Lyndon LaRouche warned today. "The problem is that the drug operations are, in large degree, promoted as a by-product of the economic crisis which is hitting the hemisphere," LaRouche explained. "If we don't solve that, nothing will work. We are looking for something other than a homicidal solution to the drug problem, and it's difficult to do that if we don't have an economic policy which is going to make that feasible."

"We are going to have to fight drugs anyway," LaRouche continued, "but if we don't do it through economic growth, it's not going to work. We are in danger of chaos, and therefore, in dealing with the problem, you have to have other measures besides simply fighting."

"Drugs will be fought," LaRouche emphasized, "but it is preferable to do it largely peacefuly, with economic alternatives to what will otherwise be chaos. A good example of the kind of programs that are needed are the PLHINO," LaRouche said, referring to Mexico's Northwest Hydraulic Plan, a great infrastructure project which would open up more than one million hectares of newly irrigated land to food cultivation in the Sonora-Sinaloa-Nayarit region. "The U.S. and Mexico should cooperate on the PLHINO, as on the war on drugs, as sovereign states who share a common interest. It's what Franklin Delano Roosevelt did."

"There will be a war on drugs," LaRouche reiterated, "because any society that capitulates to the British-controlled drug mafia and their proponents of drug legalization, such as the Nazi-trained financial speculator George Soros, will cease to exist. Society and drug-pushers cannot co-exist. And anyone who aspires to be head of state must be opposed to drugs: he or she will have no choice.

"Reality, therefore, dictates that there is going to be a war on drugs. Younger people, looking to the future, will realize that Soros must be defeated, and they will support a fight.

"And while military capabilities will be a component of the war, because the drug-pushers are waging their own war for drugs, the decisive margin for defeating them will come from non-lethal measures," LaRouche said. "Use science, especially space-based scientific capabilities, against the global drug trade. We have technological superiority, with satellites and other advanced technologies, many of which are quasi-military.

"Most importantly," LaRouche concluded, "we have to shut down the drug money flows, as an integral part of the reorganization of the world financial system. Use the occasion of the establishment of a global treaty for a new credit system, on the U.S. Constitutional model, to audit all financial holdings, to account for their origins. Ask the financiers: 'Where did you get the money, buddy?'"

Lyndon LaRouche will be addressing the global strategic crisis and its solution, in two international webcasts over the coming week—the first on Friday Jan. 16, the second on Thursday Jan. 22. Both will begin at 1 p.m. Washington time, and will be broadcast live (with simultaneous translation into Spanish, French, Italian and German) on www.larouchepac.com.
